The Childhood Standard ("we," "us") is run by Evelyn Metta and operates thechildhoodstandard.com. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what your choices are. Questions any time: hello@thechildhoodstandard.com.
Your email address, when you choose to enter it in a signup form to receive the free guide and our newsletter. That is the only personal information this site asks you for. Like nearly all websites, our hosting and email providers also automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
We use your email address to deliver the guide you requested and to send you our newsletter and updates about The Childhood Standard's resources and work. That's it. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We use trusted service providers to operate: Beehiiv manages our email list and sends our emails, and Netlify hosts this website. Each handles data under its own privacy policy. Our essays are published on Substack; if you subscribe there, that relationship is governed by Substack's own terms and privacy policy.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. You can also email us at any time to unsubscribe, or to ask what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We keep your email address only while you're subscribed.
The Childhood Standard exists to protect children, and that starts with their data. This website is intended for adults: parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The embedded signup form and our service providers may set functional cookies needed to make the form and site work.
If our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Continued use of the site after changes means the updated policy applies.
